Content	1:15 CD was born in Cuba. Parents were from Spain. 1:49 The parents were separated for 16 years when CD’s father moved to Cuba. He lost everything he had during the 1920s depression. He owned a cafe. Cooking is a big tradition in his family. 5:07 CD was 16 when she her husband (AD’s father). He was studying medicine in Havana. They married in 1944. 7:43 When Fidel Castro took over the Cuban goverment, CD’s husband protested. He had to seek asylum through the Ecuadorian embassy. CD was separated from her husband and had no idea where he was or what was going to happen. 10:39 In 1962 they were allowed to leave Cuba. 11:06 CD’s best memory was the day she was reunited with her husband in USA. 12:09 They moved to Tennessee and CDs husband worked at a mental hospital. 12:50 CD and her family moved to Houston where her husband started his practice. 13:43 CD remembers the Americans were very helpful when she moved to USA. They gave them clothes, furniture, and plane tickets. 16:16 When CD left Cuba, they had to leave everything behind.
