SELF BINDING CLOCKS
Recently two clocks arrived in Miami, in very poor condition due to improper packiiig and failure to remove deteriorated winding batteries.
Please read the Installation & Shipping Instructions contained in every clock packing case when exchanging your clock for an overhauled one. Make sure the clock will travel safely before shipping.
RECEIVER FUSES
There has been evidence of excessive blowing of 1 ampere 3AG fuses in the 51N2 receiver. This is particularly inconvenient where remote receivers are installed. The difficulty can be corrected by changing the type of fuse. At present the spare part kit contains an instantaneous 1 ampere fuse, and the kit has been changed by replacing this fuse with the slow-blow 1 ampere type. All stations using the 51N2 receiver should order the kit quantity of this new type fuse. Also on page 4 of the Spare Parts Kit List, Dwg. GEN 25B-958-3, item 10* change the part number 9022-760: to read 9022-8851, and make this change in the 51N2 and Erco receiver parts list.
This slow-blow fuse can also be used in the Erco CFR receivers which are fused for 1 ampere.
Larger size fuses should not be used in the above receivers.
