SPARE PARTS KIT
Max Fiallo, Station Radio Mechanic at Ciudad Trujillo, has come up with a pretty neat arrangement for finding items in his spare parts kit. All of the parts are stored in the same sequence that they appear in the manual. In addition, he has numbered each part starting from #1, etc. He also placed the #1 next to the part number shown in the manual list at the beginning and carried these numbers on down the list. Then if he is looking for a certain condenser - say .00001 mfd. - for replacement, referring to the manual shows the PAA # as 9007-0466, and right next to this number is the item number 24. All he has to do is look for number 24 among parts and it is easily found. He has marked each part with a tab bearing the respective item number.
This system isn't required, but anyone interested in an easy my of locating parts can do the same thing and will find it very helpful.
