Title of thia year'i production is "A Balmy Day," a satire on campua life, written by English instructor Richard Janaro. Twelve rates have been cast in addition to a singing chorus of 49 and a ballet (roup of 20. Regular rehearsals will get underway following the opening of the spring semester. What They Are Saying . . . "The purpose of the SBG committee inquiring into UM athletic policies and the NCAA probation is to help provide the Student Body with a better understanding of the confused situation," says Bill Merritt, SBG president. See story on paqe 2. "Because of the difference in prices, I eat more often in the cafeteria," says frosh Donna Baum in response to a Hurricane poll on new changes in campus food services. Se* story on page 13. "During the past two and a half years, many changes have manifested themselves at UM. The first is a new attitude in the administration. "If the goal of $400,000 is reached by the telethon, then the University Medical School will get $100,000 for development an research," says Dr. H. Franklin Williams, vice president and director of community affairs in a plea for student help at the Saturday night affair. See story on page 2. Or can you," says a Hurricane staff writer about this semester's Senate shennanigans. Sen editorial on page 6. "The University atmosphere isn't conducive to a free exchange of ideas; nature of student organizations is poorly integrated; and student body government has not developed widespread influence necessary in focusing attention of the Student Body on projects," said Senator Siizy Marbey in a blast at the Senate as to why UM shouldn't accept Russian exchange students. "While we are searching for the qualities that make the ideal professor, possibly we should find some ideal students," says an irate professor about a "Ideal Professor" poll being conducted by the Hurricane. See letters to tho editor column on page 6. GETTING COMFORTABLE for the long study hours and final exam cramming is Jacque Warren, Hurricane Honey No. 11. Jacque is a tri-delt pledge from Gettysburg, Penn., and is majoring in business. She is S feet, C inches tall and weighs in at US photo bv Glenn lbs. In high school, Jacque was a majorette with the band. If Jacque can leave her studies long enough to drop in at The Hurricane oflice this afternoon a* ME, Gre« Melikov, IbU editor, will present her with an orchid. RECEIVING CERTIFICATE is Mario Bonofiglio, from CoL John D. Cone, chief of Florida Military District, during final Army ROTC exercises on the drill field Wednesday afternoon. Five graduating seniors were honored at the review. The Air Force ROTC alao honored its graduates with a like ceremony.
