La anotación, personal de los jugadores fué la siguiente: Fig Fog Fe Carlos Martínez 1 0 0 Héctor Sardinas 0 0 0 Tony de Cárdenas 1 0 0 Harry S\ilton 1 1 0 Luis Gutiérrez 1 1 1 Manuel Tepe 2 0 0 Carlos Per\ins 1 1 0 Eliezer Jhones 0 0 1 Jorge Rodríguez 0 0 0 Roberto Kindelán 1 0 0 Roberto Trujillo 0 0 0 Alejandro Casuso 0 0 0 STUDENT COUNCIL DECIDES TO ACT AGAINST CLASS REPRESENTATIVES W.tO FAIL IN THEIR DUTIES SUSPENSION FOR THOSE WHO FAIL TO ATTEND THE MEETINGS A very serious problem has come up since the Student'Faculty Council was organized this year. A large percentage of the class representatives fail to attend the meetings, thus leaving their classes without representation, and cut off from expressing their opinions about the issues discussed. The Student Council has always represented the attempt of letting the students have some self'government; that is, decide some of their activities themselves. But the poor, extremely poor attendance record shows that the representatives care very little for this privilege. When the representatives are elected, the electors are warned that they should choose someone who is thoroughly responsible, reliabe and MATURE. But the behavior of the chosen ones is far from mature. If these people had at least a good excuse for not attending... But they just do not BOTHER to attend! In The Student Council meeting held on Wednesday, March 17, a measure was decided to be ta\en with those who falter in their duties. Those representa,' tives who had missed four meetings up to that meeting will be automatically rer lieved of their duties, and the respective class will be as\ed by the President of the Student Council to elect another representative. If any representative misses two meetings from this meeting to the end of the term, the same rule will be applied to him or her. It is not the Student Council's intention to be touchy or harsh by passing these decisions, but people must \now how to stand by a charge entrusted to him by his fellow students. The publicity angle was the best part of the program. The Announcement of an orchestra resulted in a large turn-out. The orchestra was a prety big expense, but, according to members of the Dance Committee, they cleared a good-sized profit. Altogether it was a pleasant change from the usual routine dances. Yet, the general opinion seemed to be that the extra expense for the orchestra was unnecessary. It was said by the majority that the high admission price wasn’t worth it. In my wanderings to collect opinions on the dance, I observed that lots of people thought the orchestra rested much too often.
