This was the first year for the Geography Department's trip to East Africa under the direction of Professors Don Capone and Harm de Blij. The officers and Directors will take office at the first annual Arts and Sciences Homecoming Luncheon to be held on Thursday, November 16, at 12:30 p.m. in the Lau Founders Hall. Mr. David Kraslow, Publisher of the Miami News and UM Trustee will be our guest speaker. The by-laws will be reviewed, revised and/or approved at the first meeting of the Board of Directors to be held on January 9, 1979. Copies of the by-laws are available on request through the Office of the Dean, P.O.Box 248004, Coral Gables, Florida 33124 (Phone 284-5363) The by-laws as drafted are intended to be minimally restrictive to permit flexibility in establishing the association.
