"On a less spiritual note, may I say briefly, and with utmost sincerity: Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to you all." WEYHER TO RETIRE AUG. 31, 1965 Theodore A. Weyher, Dean of the School of Engineering since 1957, has requested "early retirement," to be effective August 31, 1965. In approving his retirement "with sincere regret," President Stanford pointed to the progress of the School under Dean Weyher's guidance. During this eight-year period, all degree granting departments of the School received professional accreditation, admissions and curriculum requirements were raised and the following programs inaugurated: the professional degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering; the Bachelor of Architecture degree; the Master's in civil, electrical, industrial and mechanical engineering, and in cooperation with the Institute of Marine Science, options in oceanographic engineering at the graduate level. FACULTY SENATE MEETS TODAY p.m. All members of the faculty are welcome to attend the regular monthly meeting of the Faculty Senate today (Dec. 14) at 3 Brockway Lecture Hall, Otto G. Richter Library. The agenda includes a talk by President Stanford. ELECTIONS REMINDER roting of his 1st. In accordance with election procedures ____ for the Faculty Senate and Councils, faculty members are reminded that each member who is unable to serve in the Senate or on the Council school shall so advise the Secretary of the Senate by January UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI NEXT VERITAS: Because of the holiday schedule, the next JANUARY 4 issue of Veritas will appear Monday, Jan. 4 with a copy deadline of Tuesday, Dec. 29.
