On the second floor, the Affirmative Action office was relocated, the University Secretary was relocated to the President’s office and the Registrar and areas of the School of Business had minor work scheduled to improve their quarters. There were 11,300 square feet of space involved in the Ashe Building renovation at a cost of $131,000 or $11.59 per square foot. In order to make room in the Ashe Building for the new Admissions Office, it was necessary to relocate the staff in the Controller’s office to the Administrative Services Building. In addition, the public safety department (security officers) was moved from married housing quarters to the ground floor of the Administrative Services Building. The Employee Benefits office was consolidated with the Personnel Office on the first floor of the Administrative Services Building. The building’s third floor, which was an unfinished area, was renovated to house the Purchasing office, Accounts Payable, Property Control, Business Services, and Budgeting and Auditing personnel. In total, there were 24,050 square feet of space in the Administrative Services Building renovated at a cost of $232,000 or $9.67 per square foot.
