W. Pearson in a letter to the editor. See Page 6. “Put to a Roman vote, thumbs would have to go down on the girls’ get up," said Jack Hobbs in describing campus coeds’ dress habits. See story on Page 4. “It has always baffled me where some of these organizations find the people who are willing to pay $75-and-up to be made asses of in front of their classmates at periodic intervals throughout the year,” said Don Jeka in the Debris column on Page 9. “Nursing opportunities are limitless. According to 1951 figures, there was a deficit of 65,000 nurses. In 1954 a 50,000 deficit is expected,” said Dora M. Eldredge. acting chairman of the new U-M Nursing department. See story on Page 6. “We’re going to try to trace the steps of the human being as a driver starting with the tricycle and continuing right up to a bus operator,” explained Samuel P. Messer, director of safety education. See story on Page 2. ‘“The Male Animal’ was satisfactorily directed by Ed Menerth at a well-paced though fast-gaited speed at the Ring theater opening Tuesday night,” said Sue Dubois, Hurricane drama critic. See her review on Page 3. Htoto by Hal« A BULLSEYE on attractiveness, too, is scored by Ann Heise, Honey No. 25. In anybody’s eye, Ann's 5-feet 414-inches and 122 pounds looks good. The Tri-Delt sophomore will send an arrow into your heart with a look from her brown eyes. Ann is a physical education major from Wooster, Ohio, and is president of the Women’s Athletic Association. If the pretty 20-year-old will dart up to the Cane office at 3:30 this afternoon, and arch her eyebrows at Editorial Page Editor, Dave Malone, he will pierce her blouse with an orchid.
