Ashe, to the tup men of Sigma Chi fraternity. Shown ree -iving the cup which goes to the winner of the intramural competition is Jim Thomas, prexy of SX, while Don Cummings, supervisor of intramural sports for the fraternity looks on. Sigma Chi finished with 1*924 points while PiKA, serond finisher, racked up 1695 tallies. Twenty-two smaller trophies were also awarded yesterday at the intramurals assembly to other organizations who won the individual sports. photo by Rudolf Student Dies In Plane Crash Sam Friedenberg, 22-year-old pre-law student, was killed in a plane crash Thursday morning when he attempted to make an emergency landing on a field near Coral Way and Snapper Creek rood. Soon after Friedenberg took off from Tamiami airport his plane apparently developed engine trouble. While trying to land his single engine planr, it hit a high tension wire and he was killed when the plnne crashed, rnught fire, nnd exploded. Friedenberg, u native of Baltimore, Mtl., transferred to the University from Johns llopkins last year, lie had .101) hours of flying and five years of actual piloting experience. Friedenberg was also vice president of the recently organized Phi Sigma Delta fraternity. Further details of the accident were not available as the HURRICANE went to press. HONEY NO. 28 ' HERE’S A “RED" WE’D LIKE TO INVESTIGATE, Marylou Miller, our final honey of the semester. This titian beauty is a rare specimen “in these hyar parts,” since she was born in Miami. Along with her flaming, bobbed hair, she has green eyrs, freckles, and a total of US pounds to her charming 5 feet S inch stature. An English major, Marylou is a staff writer for the Hurricane and she also writes short stories. Hrr hobby is her "hubby,” Ennis Miller. Through the gracious generosity of the University Flower Shop, which has donated those "gor-guss purple blossoms” to our honeys this year, Paul (will we never get rid of him?)
