There will be a four act floor show at which Davis Webb asserts there will be much new talent presented. The object of the hosts and hostesses is to introduce the new students to the upperclassmen. Andy Shaw is in charge of the decorations, and Frank Strahan is the ticket chairman. After a successful week of appearing at their best and most attractive the Delta Sigma Kappa, Phi Alpha, Phi Epsilon Pi, Pi Delta Sigma, and Pi Chi fraternities announce a total of fifty-seven new men bid. Sat- Over 600 invitations have been issued to the first annual Found-1 er’s, Day dance to be given by the | Delta Tau sorority tomorrow night! at the Cocoplum Woman’s Club. Students and faculty of the university and friends of the sorority will be guests. Betty Harley is chairman of the affair and will be assisted by Nedra McNamara, Mickey Grose, Etna Terrell, Ruth Creal, Mary Frances Roberts and Myrtle Speyer. Miss Creal, president of the sorority, Mrs. Ethel S. Harley, sorority mother, Olga Minor, Nedra I McNamara, Mary Frances Roberts and Lois Poteet, will compose the receiving line. Tropical flowers will be used in the decoration with the Delta Tau sign in the patio. Punch will be served and music will be furnished by the Friday, October 13—Pi Delta fraternity giving benefit dance in University Girl’s Gym. Saturday, October 14—Miami Women’s Pan Hellenic Association will give a tea honoring the women students of the University of Miami at the home of Mrs. Roy J. Schneider, 1700 N. Emerson Fahrney, president of the sophomore class, has already started work on the sophomore social program. An election will be held at an early date tp fill this office, the duties of which are being temporarily discharged by Frank Strahan, sophomore. The class heard Mr. Strawinski, of the faculty and Wally Greer, Ernie Duhaime and “Bull” Fahrney, upperclassmen. Fahrney, president of the sophomore class and chairman of the vigilance committee, spoke on freshman rules. He was augmented by Wally Greer. Duhaime announced the vacancy of the postmaster position and explained that each fraternity would put up a candidate, then the election would be decided by popular voe. From President B. F.
