About 400 employees attended the meeting in Gusman Hall although most had heard about it only hours before. According to Executive Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr John Green,the meeting was called "to improve employee communication with management," but several employees al ledged that the meeting was called to stave off the possibility of an employee unionization drive among A03 emplovees. It's festival time, time to walk out of class and into ,i world of fun rami dras has become the largest event held mi the I'M campus, and tlM econd largest carnival event in South Florida The thru day extravaganza draws approximately .10,000 people and makes over $45,- 000 "Carni Gras is something the whole community now looks forward to," said ('arm dras Chairman Andy Meyer "We draw people from as far away as North Miami Beach and Homestead, but the bulk is from Coral Gables and the South Miami area. "The community is proud of us. We are unique because of our student aspect. We are not the professional blase carnival." A sampling of what is to come proves Meyer to be correct. Carni dras is anything but a dull carnival. There will be 93 booths on the field this year, operated by student organizations and offering amazing varieties of foods and games American favorites such as ham-' See page 8
