Story On Page 2 ----The Inside Story----------------- What They Are Saying ... “A small volcano” is what erupted for loud, brief moments in the Senate Tuesday. “Disrespect to the Senate” was Senator Susie Marbey's complaint about actions of SBG Vice President George Keats, as Miss Marbey proposed that the Senate censure Keats. Story, with results of this and other Senate action, is on Page 2. “The singularly democratic privilege of being a nuisance seems to have been challenged in the student Senate" is The Hurricane editorial comment on the situation. It’s found on Page 6. “The only reasonable and realistic answer to the dorm phone problem is responsible and considerate use of the phones by dorm residents during the evening rush” is the conclusion of another Page 6 editorial. “A hot-stepping electric wire . . . the hound dog singer in the blue suede shoes ...” is the subject of News Editor Fred Porter's Debris on Page 7. “Only one gas heater is provided for the entire six rooms," complains a dormitory letter writer—pseudonym, "Icy Mary" —in a Page 7 extension of the letters column. “Egypt is a sword directed toward the jugular vein of the Jewish nation," asserts Dr. William Spielberg, first violinist with the Symphony Orchestra, quoted in a Page 13 story. “To safeguard the public” is Dr. Floyd A. Wright's view of the basic reason for corporation laws. Wright, an authority on corporate law, is quoted in a Page 5 feature. “We’ve got to use the fast break in order to compensate for our lack of height,” says basketball coach Bruce Hale, quoted in a Page 17 story about preparations for UM’s season opener in two weeks.
