I--------The Inside Story--------------------------------1 What They Are Saying ... “All America’s political marbles” are the prize of debate from both the Eisenhower and Stevenson viewpoints m a special Hurricane editorial feature on page 6. “A gentleman who towers over all his opponents . .. statesman, soldier, educator, humanitarian ...” is the description in the Eisenhower column. “A man of intelligence, profound and careful thought, and courageous conviction” is the way Stevenson is described in the adjoining column. “This is the best student directory that Student Body Government has ever published,” says Tom Spencer, SBG president, about this fall’s directory, which will be distributed Monday. Story is on page 2. “Hurricane news presents an outstanding description of Miami life, and the paper’s feature style is worthy of professional quality,” said Associated Collegiate Press Judges as they presented The Hurricane with its 18th consecutive All-American award this week. Story is on page 2. “It’s about time some life came to this campus,” says one girl gleefully in page 2 story about Sunday night’s car parade. “If he had a wife, he’d be nicer,” says cafeteria worker Mrs. Edna Leduc about the student-chasing, shoe-biting gander featured in a page 2 story. “The first step taken by the university to offer to its business community a real service by bringing practical and professional management people to the city, with the eventual idea of establishing a self-supporting international management center in conjunction with the university,” comments. Dr. Jay F. W. Pearson about the forthcoming Management Seminar program. The story is on page 3. Photo by Glenn BREAK BETWEEN CLASSES is taken by Ann Fairburn, Hurricane Honey No. 6. Ann is 5 feet, 5 inches high and endowed with 115 pounds, well distributed. The 21-year-old religion major aims to do juvenile court work after graduation. If this Alpha Delta Pi sorority pledge will make an appearance tonight during the half-time show at the Orange Bowl, Dave Glenn, Cane special photographer, will present her with an orchid.
