Photo by Bell Shown with Keats are some of the students who accepted the invitation, but small turnout led SBG president Tom Spencer to cancel the second session slated for tomorrow. Story on page 3. FLASH—SBG vice-president George Keats told the Hurricane at 2:43 Thursday afternoon that Pep Club tickets will be issued for tonight's game by order of Dr. Thurston Adams, director of student activities. Keats said tickets will be issued today from the office of Student Activities, room 4 of the Student Union. ★ ★ ★ By Barbara Siegle, Fred Porter and Marshall Shapo A Student Body Government merry-go-round over student seats at football games went round and round this- week, and where she stops, nobody knows. And at Hurricane press time, nobody knew, either, where anybody would be sitting at the Boston College game tonight. The melee was climaxed at 1:45 yesterday afternoon when Chief Justice Howard Bennett of the Honor Court dictated a public resignation statement to the Hurricane. Bennett asserted with his resignation that any orders he’s given are still in effect until a new chief justice is appointed. The Bennett statement followed his issuance of a temporary injunction against SBG president Tom Spencer enjoining Spencer from “issuing or causing to be issued tickets to reserved seats in the Orange Bowl Stadium or in any other matter interfering with the free seating of students on a first come, first served basis until such time that a full and fair hearing may be had.” SBG Attorney-General Iva Kay said, however, that at the moment he did not recognize this injunction—that he did recognize an executive order by Spencer issued Wednesday night which provided for special tickets for a student spirit section. Bennett’s temporary injunction against Spencer, his second injunction in 24 hours, was issued Thursday at noon. His first injunction this week was a permanent injunction Wednesday at 8 p.m. enjoining Pep Club members from reserving "any portion of the Student Seating Section in the Orange Bowl, for and during any and all games of the University of Miami.” (The text is reprinted at the bottom of page 2.) Following this first injunction, about 9:30 Wednesday evening, Spencer issued an executive order which would allow “preferred seating ... to individuals and organizations on the basis of their constructive work to implement and increase school spirit.” (Continued on Page 2) PERT AND PRETTY’, sitting in the noonday sun, is Pat Wolfert, Hurricane Honey number two. The blonde, brown-eyed junior is an education major and member of ZTA. Serving as SBG secretary now, she was picked AFROTC queen last year. If Pat will come to the north 50-yard-line at halftime of tonight’s Boston College game, Ernie Wasserman, Hurricane business manager, will pin her with an orchid.
