Wide World Photos caught the beaming ping pong players disembarking at Metropolitan Airport. Flying U.S. and People’s Republic flags, the 707 jet brought the athletes from Ottawa, Canada, for two weeks’ of matches ending in San Francisco. Today, they squeezed in a pilgrimage to Disneyland. Seawell, chairman, president and chief executive officer. 'V_ • Robert G. Oatiey, named senior vice president-financial controls. Oatiey, an exécutive with extensive cost control experience in the airline and other major industries, wifi report to William M. Crilly, senior vice president-finance and development. • John M. Woigast, named vice presidentengineering and maintenance. Woigast has more than three decades engineering, administrative and executive experience in the aviation industry. He will report to Frank F. Davis, senior vice president-operations. • Alfred F. Biancato, named vice president-budgets and financial analysis. Biancato, formerly assistant vice president, has been with Pan Am since 1946. He will report to Oatiey. Oatiey has resigned as group comptroller- metals and automotive of Indian Head, Inc., to join Pan Am. He had been with Indian Head since May, 1969. Between May 1963 and May 1969, Oatiey was with Trans World Airlines, first as corporate budget director, and subsequently as assistant comptroller-financial analysis and budgeting, assistant comptroller-corporate accounting, and comptroller-technical services division. Earlier, Oatiey was manager-cost and budgets, electronics division of the General Dynamics Corp.; assistant comptroller of the ordnance operation of the Crosley Division of the Avco Corporation; manager of budgets of the marine and industrial engine division of Chrysler Corp.; and supervisor of the budget analysis section of the Chrysler Division of the Chrysler, Corp.
