SAN-TOFF, Procurement Officer and director of the Housing Bureau. "The urgency of taking over homes now available cannot be ovefc-emphasized," he said. "Due to the number of defense plants in the Peninsula area, Pan American Airways’ employees should make every effort to get located near Mills Field as soon as possible." More than 300homes are now available - some for sale and some to lease or rent. A few of those now ready or to be ready soon, are illustrated in this issue of TRANSPACIFIC. But they won’t be available indefinitely, as Santoff % points out. Additional impetus was given the moving program recently through the arrangements made to assist East Bay employees in connection with their moving ex-. ___ penses. Those who have southivood homes not obtained information from the Service Section on this program are cautioned to make their inquiries prior to entering into any arrangements with a, moving company. Arrangements have been made with the Maintenance Dept, to have Housing Bureau offices in Kropff IQ-time blood donor The honor of being TSL’s first 10-time Red Cross Blood Donor goes to Division Traffic Manager V. A. KROPFF who was presented with the colorful lapel badge, emblematic of that a- chievement recently at the San Francisco Blood Donor Center. The bronze pin backed with red and white ribbons surmounted by a silver star was pinned on Mr. Kropff by Grey Lady Mrs. Wallis A. Peterson. Mrs. Peterson is one of the 125 Grey Ladies at the S. F. Center who volunteer their time KROPFF, MSS. PETERSON an(j[ efforts toward making donors comfortable before and after their gift of blood, and who present them with the awards appropriate to their number of contributions. It was through Mr. Kropff’s efforts that the regular visits of the Red Cross Mobile Blood Donor Unit are made to TSL, and his example has led many other PAAers to give their blood in this fine cause. Hangar ’C* located in the Chief of Plane Service’s office, tloom 228, and Miss Bernhagen will be available there from 8:00 to 10:20 in the morning, and from 2:30 to 5£i0 in the afternoon. She can be reached on Ext. 247 during those hours. Regular Housing Bureau offices are to be found in Service Section, Ad. Bldg., Ext. 307 or 308. A check early in April disclosed that 124 PAAers have either purchased or rented war homes in the Peninsula area through the San Mateo Co. Housing Center. Many others have made direct contacts with owners or realty agents. All those planning to use the services of the San Mateo County Center should obtain verification slips from the Service Section and go directly to the Center.
