I Monthly Operational Bulletin To: All Pan Am Flight Attendants From: In-Flight Service Headquarters - MIA VOLUME XVI, Issue 8 August 1986 Dear Fellow Employees: On several occasions this year, Flight Attendants have appeared in Pan Am television commercials abroad and in photographs used for magazine, newspaper and brochure layouts. The selections of personnel for these projects were made from a casting videotape of Flight Attendants based in New York and Miami. This videotape was produced last Spring following an “open casting call” publicized by postings at the base Departure Controls offices. Flight Attendants were selected from these tapes by representatives from the In-Flight Services and Advertising departments, and Pan Am’s advertising agency. These advertising projects have been successful and have encouraged our Advertising department to plan additional projects featuring not only Flight Attendants but other Pan Am customer contact personnel such as Passenger Service Agents, Reservationists, etc. The impression of our airline is, to a great extent, developed by the contact our passengers have with you and other Pan Am employees. Consequently, I am pleased to announce that a new and more extensive casting tape will be made in New York, Miami and Los Angeles during the next month. If you were unable to participate in the previous casting call, you can be videotaped for consideration by our Advertising department. The date and location for these taping sessions will be posted at all bases even though videotaping will initially not take place at all locations. This will enable you to plan on attending a session in a city where we will be taping. I encourage any of you, even if you haven’t any previous acting or modeling experience, to attend one of these sessions. All that’s involved is reading a few lines which you’ll be provided. The taping takes only a few minutes and is fun. I’m pleased that you will have the opportunity to participate in our advertising, and hope that many of you will be able to attend one of these sessions. 0\S62>4i Acci, 56V
