FICA TAX INCREASED IN 1969 Employee contributions to Social Security (FICA) will be increased effective 1 January 1969. Social Security withholding will be increased to 4. 8 percent on the first $7, 800 of taxable earnings. The new maximum amount to be withheld for 1969 will be $374. 40 per employee. WORLD TRAVELERS TO MEET 10 JANUARY Start the New Year right by enjoying the December program of the Pan Am World Travelers, now rescheduled for 10 January. The World Travelers have a new meeting place for 1969 - the Launch Deck of the Ramada Inn. It is reserved for 10 January. Jim and Alice Watts will present their program on Holland. Jim and Alice have blended the sounds, history and pictorial highlights of Holland to create an excellent program. All welcome. Remember the date - 10 January , and the new Location - the Ramada Inn. SECURITY REMINDER Your Pan Am Security Department Reminder for the Week: There are three degrees of classified material. The highest being Top Secret, then Secret, and last, Confidential. These can be readily identified by the appropriate marking on the top and bottom of each classified page or folded document. Any clearance granted you will correspond to one of these - depending upon the nature of your position. The Rockhounds will meet at 7:30 p.m. on 1 January at the Community Room, First National Bank, Strawbridge and Waverly Place, Melbourne. If you have ever wished you could change rocks to gem-stones, visit with the people who are doing just that.
