WORLD TRAVELERS MEET 15 OCTOBER The Pan Am~World Travelers will meet at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, 15 October 1971 at the First Federal Bank Annex, Fields Plaza, Merritt Island. Mr. James Landfried, coauthor of several travel guides known as the "Paradise Series , " will present a slide program on the Bahamas Out Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands. All are welcome - free admission. CHARITY BALL OCTOBER 16 The Melbourne Elks will hold their 5th Annual Charity Ball on Saturday evening October 16 in the Elks Building at Motel "6" , Cocoa Beach. Proceeds from this event will be used to help over twenty local charities and the Florida Elks' major project, the Harry-Anna Crippled Children's Hospital in Umatilla, Florida. A gala event is planned, with decorations based on the theme "Stars and Stripes Forever. " The slogan for the ball is "Help Miracles Happen. " Master of Qerernonies will be Norm Keller of Radio Station WMMB and music will be provided by the Bob Hayes' twelve piece orchestra beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 per couple. For additional information and a schedule of events, call the Elks Lodge at 723-4589 or 783-9142.
