FICA TAX INCREASED IN 1969 Employee contributions to Social Security (FICA) will be increased effective 1 January 1969. Social Security withholding will be increased to 4. 8 percent on the first $7, 800 of taxable earnings. The new maximum amount to be withheld for 1969 will be $374.40 per employee. WORLD TRAVELERS MEET 10 JANUARY The December meeting of the Pan Am World Travelers was cancelled because of the Christmas Parade. The program by Jim and Alice Watts, now scheduled for 10 January, will be held at the Ramada Inn. All are welcome. Come by 8:30 for a wonderful evening. Remember, there's a new meeting place - The Launch Deck of the Ramada Inn in Cocoa Beach. SECURITY REMINDER Your Pan Am Security Department Reminder for the Week: You are responsible for safeguarding all classified information in your possession, under your control, or of which you have knowledge. INSURANCE TIPS The Winter quarter of our schools and colleges will soon be in session. This is a reminder that dependent children who have reached 19 years of age are not covered under the employee's dependent Group Hospital coverage. To requalify, a dependent child must be a registered student in legal full time attendance at a high school, college or university. The employee must complete a student enrollment card and pay the applicable monthly premium. Contact Employee Services, CBO, extensions 5671 or 5672 for enrollment cards.
