SAFETY SLOGAN OF THE WEEK TRAVEL CLUB MEETS 2 AUGUST Take it easy, don't drive too fast, or the car you pass may be your last. BRIEFING REQUIRED FOR SOVIET TRAVEL With the inception of weekly Pan Am flights to Moscow, an increase in travel of ASD personnel to that city and possibly cities in other Communist nations is anticipated. It is important, therefore, that all prospective, cleared travellers to Sino-Soviet Bloc cities, including Moscow, bear in mind that they are required to report to the Pan Am Security Department at least 30 days prior to departure on any such trip for a briefing. They must also report to the same office for a debriefing the first working day after completion of travel. At the time of initial reporting to the Security Department, the individual is required to submit his itinerary, to include dates of the proposed travel. The foregoing requirement also applies to employees who intend to attend international scientific, technical or other professional meetings held outside the United States where it is anticipated that Sino-Soviet Bloc Representatives will attend or participate. Sino-Soviet Bloc Countries are: Albania, Bulgaria, Chinese Peoples Republic (Communist China, including Tibet), Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (North Korea), Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam), German Democratic Republic (GDR) (East Germany, including the Soviet Sector of Berlin), Hungary, Kurile Islands, Mongolian Peoples Republic (Outer Mongolia), Poland, Rumania, South Sakhalin (Karafuto), Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR, including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and all other constituent republics), Yugoslavia. The Pan Am World Travelers meet 2 August at the Sheraton Cocoa Beach Resort Motel (formerly the Cape Colony). Lillian Jarrett will take you on a tour of Honolulu, the Fiji Islands and Australia. Arrive by 8:30 for an interesting show, earlier for coffee and travel talk. STETSON OFFERS GRADUATE PROGRAM Stetson University will open a Brevard Program on September 9, 1968, with four courses leading to a Master's Degree in Business Administration and in Education. You must register your vehicle when you are first assigned to PAFB or when you purchase a new car which you plan to drive on base.
