AEROSPACE SERVICES DIVISION SAFETY SLOGAN OF THE WEEK The hurtingest gun that ever exploded, is the innocent one that "wasn't loaded. " EASTERN DISCOUNT TRAVEL Eastern Airlines discount travel will not be permitted from midnight 26 March 1970 through midnight 31 March 1970. All other discount agreements remain in effect through the Easter holiday. NEWS FROM YOUR ONE DONATION CLUB On 30 January members of the One Donation Club Board met with representatives of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Orange County. The Board voted to donate a sum of $2, 000 to United Cerebral Palsy for 1970. The check was presented on the Telethon on Sunday 1 February by Ed Granberry, Charlie Thrasher, Elva Godwin, B. Hafer, Fred Banks and Vince Me Gourty. A donation of $1, 000 was made to Rodeheavers Boys' Ranch at Palatka, Florida. Presently 45 boys make their home at the ranch. The kidney dialysis unit purchased by the One Donation Club is to be transferred to Orange Memorial Hospital where it can be utilized to the fullest. SECURITY DEPARTMENT REMINDER The Director of Security Police, AFETR (ETI) has requested that all Range Contractor personnel who have AFETR badges in their possession examine them for fading, cracking, changes in appearance of the holder for any reason in relation to the picture on the badge, and a "tired" appearance of the badge as a whole. To qualify for sick leave you must call 853-2223/4/5/6/7/8/9 and provide the following information: Your name; employee number; crew number; correct, complete home address; name of your department; name of supervisor; are you paid weekly or bi-weekly; starting time; normal days off; reason for absence and if possible, estimated length of absence. Sick calls cannot be considered complete unless the above information is provided. ACCOUNTANTS TO MEET 17 FEBRUARY The next regular meeting of the Cape Canaveral Chapter of the National Association of Accountants will be held February 17, at the Cape Kennedy Hilton. The speaker for the evening will be the Honorable Fred O. Dickenson, Comptroller for the State of Florida. His subject will be, "Florida Financial Environment.
