AEROSPACE SERVICES DIVISION SAFETY SLOGAN OF THE WEEK Safety doesn't cost anything - until you forget it. CONVENTION SCHEDULED The 7th Annual Region III - IEEE - Canaveral Section ISA Convention will be held in Cocoa Beach, Florida on November 18, 19, 20,1968. Dr. C. L. Carroll, of the Engineering Analysis Department is Chairman of Session 9 - "Applications of Analytical Techniques". J. W. McCrary and B. W. Koeppel, also of Pan Am, will present a paper. The General Chairman of the Convention is Mr. G. Denton Clark, Manager, RCA Range Projects. The Technical Sessions will be held at the Quality Courts and Ramada Inn Motels. The session subjects include: (Monday) - Advanced Technologies, Undersea Technology, Space Electronics, Telemetry; (Tuesday) - Education, Power, Management, Micro-Electronics; (Wednesday) -Applications of Analytical Techniques, Telephony, Antennas, and Computers.. Fifty-eight papers will be presented. The four seminars will be held on the topics of: Electrical Protective Devices, Integrated Circuits and Their Incorporation Into Equipment, Programming for Electrical Engineers, and Problem Solving for Electrical Engineers Using Time Shared Computers. Experts will comprise the course directors and lecturers. TOASTMASTERS ISSUE INVITATION The Toastmasters Club meets every Wednesday noon -in the Officers' Club Missile Room. Are you interested in public speaking? Do you need to improve your ability to preside over or address a meeting at work? If so, you need Toastmasters ! HARVEST MOON BALL The Missile Twister Square Dance Club is sponsoring a two-day event, at the Melbourne Civic Auditorium November 8 and 9- On Friday night, Vaughn Parrish, a well-known caller from Boulder, Colorado will do the honors of conducting the affair and calling the squares. Time is 8-12 p.m. On Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. Jim Rice will conduct a square dance workshop. The main event will occur between 8 and 12 p.m. when Jim Rice and Bill Camp will call to live music furnished by Billy Ed and the Mountain Melody Boys. Art Brammeier will conduct the rounds on both nights. Tickets are badges that will cost $2. 00 in advance. For more information call 262-3826. SYMPHONY BALL The First Annual Symphony Ball, "A Night In Vienna", sponsored by the Women's Association of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, will be held on Saturday, November 9, from nine to one, at the Kennedy Hilton. The Knights of Melody Orchestra will play for dancing. Tickets are $12. 00 per couple and may be obtained as follows : North Brevard: Mrs. Jacob Hannemann, 267-1694; Mrs. Margaret Gandy, 267-7689.
