SECURITY DEPARTMENT REMINDER Basic principles to be followed in handling and safeguarding of classified information are: (1) proper clearance; (2) need to know; (3) adequate storage and safeguarding; and (4) a buttoned lip. If these principles are carefully followed, the security of our classified information can be tremendously reinforced. APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR CPS EXAM IS 1 DECEMBER. Secretaries are reminded that the cut-off date is December 1, 1969 for making application to take the 1970 CPS Examination, administered by the Institute for Certifying Secretaries, on May 1 and 2, 1970. The CPS Service Committee of the local Cocoa Beach Chapter of the National Secretaries Association (International) has been set up to aid all prospective applicants, whether they are members of NSA or not. Requests for application forms may be sent to Mrs. Mary Ann Humphrey, CPS Service Committee, P. O. Box 313, Cocoa Beach, Florida 32931. SALES STORE SPECIALS The Employee Sales Store has announced a special sale. Prices have been reduced on a variety of items to make room for new merchandise. The Sales Store has also stocked a number of special items for Christmas, including jewelry and luggage. For special buys, be sure to visit the Sales Store located in Bldg. 989, Room Bl-75. 69 ISA CANAVERAL SECTION INSTRUMENTATION CONFERENCE The Canaveral Section of the Instrument Society of America will hold its annual Instrumentation Conference at the Cape Kennedy Hilton in Cape Canaveral on November 18 and 19. The Conference and Exhibits Show will be comprised of: 1. Instrumentation Exhibits, 2. Instrumentation Minicourse Seminars, 3. Educational Exhibits Contest. ACCOUNTANTS MEET 18 NOVEMBER The regular monthly meeting of the Cape Canaveral Chapter, National Association of Accountants, will be held 18 November 1969 at the Quality Courts, Cocoa Beach. The speaker for the evening will be Mr. Earl Gray, President First Federal Savings and Loan, Cocoa. His subject will be, "Mortgage Money Market.
