AEROSPACE SERVICES DIVISION SAFETY SLOGAN OF THE WEEK Lives may be spared by cars kept repaired. ACCOUNTANTS MEET 21 MAY The regular monthly meeting of the Cape Canaveral Chapter, National Association of Accountants, will be held 21 May 1968 in the Sheraton Cape Colony Inn, Cocoa Beach. The speaker for the evening will be Henry M. Klein, who is Plant Comptroller with Chrysler Corporation at their Huntsville Space Operations in Huntsville, Alabama. His subject will be "We Licked Our Management Accounting Problems". Members planning to attend should advise Dick Filip, phone 494-7071. MUSICAL COMEDY TO BE PRESENTED Indian River Players, Airport Theater, Melbourne will present the delightful musical comedy "The Amorous Flea" on May 16, 17, 18 and 23, 24, 25. This musical comedy is based on Moliere's "School for Wives. " Tickets are $2. 50 plus tax and curtain time is 8:30 p.m. for each performance. For reservations and additional information call 723-1668 or 783-1414. LS.A, METROLOGY Sub-section MEETS 28 MAY The Instrument Society of America Metrology Sub-section of the Cape Canaveral Section will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, 28 May at the Cape Kennedy Hilton, Cape Canaveral. Meet the Speaker dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by a cocktail hour at 6:30. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. Forest K. Harris of the National Bureau of Standards. He will speak on "Our Electrical Standards - Their Definition and Development. A special invitation is extended to all interested non-I. S.A. members as our guests. Deadline for the News Briefs is 12 noon Thursday for the following Thursday's paper. BOYER NAMED BOSS OF THE YEAR William M. Boyer, Pan Am's Superintendent of NASA Industrial Support at Cape Kennedy was recently named the Boss of the Year of the Titusville Chapter of the National Secretaries Association (International). Bill has been with ASD since July of 1962. The boss receiving this honor is elected by secret ballot of the members and is the man that is held before the public as the National Secretaries Association's example of the model executive-the ideal supervisor. WINNERS The first place team in the Pan Am Ladies' League at Satellite Lanes was the "Wishful Thinkers," Members of the team are Linda Basse, Jan Langston, Jo Padgett, and Shirley Gable. In the Pan Am Men's League the "Ramrods" took the top honors. Team members are Dick Roberts, Earl McCormick, Steve McGrew, John Morris, Jack Smyth, Dennis Fellows and Mike Dabsky. The winners were honored at a banquet at the NCA Club on 8 May. JAYCEES SELLING 1968 LICENSE TAGS Relax and get 1968 License tags the easy way. Support your community by stopping by to let the Jaycees pick up your new tags. The South Brevard Beaches Jaycees are selling tags from 5-8 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1-4 p.m. on Sundays. Tag Headquarters this year is next to the Skyline Miniature Golf Course on A1A in Satellite Beach. Cost for this service is the same 50 cents that it would cost to have the tags mailed to you.
