NEWS BRIEFS AEROSPACE SERVICES DIVISION SAFETY SLOGAN OF THE WEEK Watch your step, on the pavement and on the gas. SOUND OF MUSIC "Kovac & Christ Productions" in cooperation with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra will present a return engagement of the beautiful musical production of "The Sound of Music" . . . complete with a 60 member cast and a 20 piece orchestra. A matinee will be presented at the Melbourne Civic Auditorium at 2 p.m. on 28 July 1968. Regular admissions: Adults $2.50 at the door, $2. 00 in advance. Students, $1. 25 at the door, $1.00 in advance. Reserved seats, $5. (All tickets plus 4 % tax). STETSON TO BEGIN CLASSES IN BREVARD Stetson University will open a Brevard Program on September 9, 1968, with four courses leading to a Masters Degree in Business Administration and in Education. The courses will be taught at Merritt Island High School on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and are open to all applicants with Bachelor's Degrees in any field and satisfactory academic records from accredited institutions. Offerings in the Business Administration School will include Finance 501 - Micro-Analysis, an advanced course of study in the field of micro-economic theory analyzing various fields of market structure. Management 519, entitled Organizational Theory, is the second Business offering. This course will include an interdisciplinary study of four fundamental integrating themes of managerial thought. The School of Education will offer En 506, Philosophy and Principles of Guidance, which meets the Area 1 certification requirements for Florida teachers. School Administration (EN541), a course dealing with the organization of public schools on all levels, is the second Educational offering. All are 3 semester-hour courses at a rate of $40 per credit hour. A tuition discount of 40 % is allowed in-service teachers. A Stetson office is located in the Merritt Island Professional Building. Hours are 3 p.m. through 7 p.m. , Tuesday through Friday, and 9 through 12 a.m. on Saturday. This office will serve as the information center for Stetson's program in Brevard County. WORLD TRAVELERS MEET 2 AUGUST The Pan Am World Travelers will meet Friday, 2 August at the Cape Colony. An interview with Lillian Jarrett, who will present the slide program, reveals that this will be a good show. Lillian, an enthusiastic sublo traveler, will take us to Honolulu for pineapples and Polynesian culture. Next stop Fiji Islands for an auto tour and excellent pictures. Finally to Australia and a study of the "land down under". First to Sydney and up the Hawksberry River to Bobbinshead, our pilot's favorite spot. Then on to Melbourne and to surfers paradise at Brisbane and to the mountains beyond. All welcome. Arrive by 8:30 for the program, earlier for coffee and travel talk.
