Government approved containers on official premises. Under no circumstances may it be taken home. Provisions for proper storage must be made prior to the end of the work day if it is necessary to work on classified material after duty hours. If a problem is anticipated or encountered in this regard the Pan Am Security Department should be contacted for guidance. Telephone 494-4143 during duty hours and 853-2121 after duty hours. PAN AM CARRIES 2 MILLION 747 PASSENGERS Pan Am's fleet of Boeing 747s has carried 2 million passengers since service with the big jet transport was inaugurated January 21, 1970. By way of comparison, when Pan Am opened for passenger business in 1928, it took 13 years of flying before the 2 million mark was reached. In the first 15 months of operations, the Pan Am 747s logged some 5, 558, 000, 000 scheduled revenue passenger miles and carried nearly 40, 000 tons of cargo and mail. The airline operates a fleet of 24 747s and has eight more on order.
