AEROSPACE SERVICES DIVISION SAFETY SLOGAN OF THE WEEK No vehicle is safer than its driver. WORLD TRAVELERS MEET 10 JANUARY The Pan Am World Travelers will meet 10 January at the Launch Deck of the Ramada Inn. Jim and Alice Watts will present their program on Holland. All are welcome. Come by 8:30 for a wonderful evening. Remember the new meeting place is the Ramada Inn. SECURITY REMINDER Your Pan Am Security Department Reminder for the Week: Before you surrender classified material to anyone, remember that his need-to-know is as important as his clearance. INSURANCE TIPS The Winter quarter of our schools and colleges will soon be in session. This is a reminder that dependent children who have reached 19 years of age are not covered under the employee's dependent Group Hospital coverage. To requalify, a dependent child must be a registered student in legal full time attendance at a high school, college or university. The employee must complete a student enrollment card and pay the applicable monthly premium. Contact Employee Services, CBO, extensions 5671 or 5672 for enrollment cards. RETIREMENTS The following ASD employees retired on 1 January 1969. Mr. R. P. Alston of Administration, joined Pan Am in February 1958. He resides at 301 Glenwood Ave. , Satellite Beach. Mr. James M. Myers of Facilities Engineering joined the company in April 1958. This should be emphasized especially to those newly assigned employees who may not be aware of this potentially dangerous possibility. ASME MEETING Subject of the January meeting will be "Advanced Chemical Propulsion Systems." Mr. Keith B. Chandler, Manager of Liquid Propulsion Technology Program, Marshall Spaceflight Center will be speaker. He will describe recent developments in propulsion for current and future Apollo and Apollo applications hardware. These programs include Saturn V propulsion, orbital workshop and Apollo telescope mount propulsive systems. Demonstrations will be presented. The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn, Cocoa Beach. Social hour 6:30-7:30, dinner 7:30-8:15. Meeting follows. The date is 15 January. For reservations call Dick Armentrout 783-6401. Guests are welcome. Dinner is $3. 75 for non-member without reservation, $3. 25 for members and guests with reservations. GOING MY WAY 1.
