SCHEDULES are subject to change without notice. TRAVEL FUNDS: Y ou are urged to carry the major portion of your funds in the form of Travelers’ Cheques, Money Orders, Letters of Credit, etc. However, cash— preferably U. S. dollars—in small denominations should also be available. PASSPORTS AND VISAS: In order to travel from one country to another, you must in most cases have a valid passport appropriately visaed where required, and other permits for certain countries. While we normally have available all the latest information, we are not responsible for its accuracy and urge you to consult the nearest consulate of the country you propose to visit in order to obtain official advice. ARRIVAL AT EMBARKATION POINTS: There are certain governmental formalities which must be completed before an international flight may depart, and we must request that you arrive at the designated point—either airport or city dispatch office— in time for the completion of these formalities (your ticket envelope will bear a notation of the appropriate time and place). Please note that flights will not be delayed to accommodate passengers arriving too late for completion of these formalities. FARES: Fares for round trips, circle trips and “open jaw” trips are generally 10% less than the sum of the one-way fares for such a trip, and considerably greater savings are available on some routes at certain times of the year. Children’s Fares: When accompanied by an adult children two years of age or over, but under twelve, will be charged half of the normal adult fare; children under two years of age will be carried free, with the following exceptions: 1) Children under two years of age will be charged 10% of the normal adult fare on the Pacific and Atlantic services of PAA, PAB, AVIANCA and CUBANA. 2) Only one child under two years of age will be carried free (or at 10% as in (1) above) with each accompanying adult; additional children will be charged half fare. 3) For fares of unaccompanied children see Official Tariff. CANCELLATION AND SERVICE CHARGES: Passengers who fail to cancel reserved space prior to established deadline will be subject to a service charge specified in the Official Tariff. STOPOVERS: You may arrange to stop over at any scheduled stop on your trip— with a few exceptions—provided that you arrange for stopovers prior to departure from the airport preceding your desired stopover. BAGGAGE; Free Allowance—In most cases, including flights over connecting airlines, the free weight allowance is 30 kilos (66 lbs.); which applies to children paying half fare as well as to adults. On round-the-world flights, the allowance is 40 kilos (88 lbs.), and for certain flights wholly within Europe it is 20 kilos (44 lbs.). Children under two years of age traveling free or at the 10% fare receive no free allowance. Excess Charges—The charge for baggage over the free allowance is 1% of the adult one-way fare per kilo (2.2 lbs.) for the first 10 kilos (22 lbs.) of excess weight. For all weight over 10 kilos, the charge is one-half of this amount. Excess Value—May be declared on baggage at a nominal charge. Cabin and Checked Baggage—Since checked baggage will not be available during flight, it is suggested that on flights which include overnight travel you should carry a small overnight bag for toilet articles, etc., which you may carry in the cabin. Forwarding Unaccompanied Baggage—Forwarding arrangements for unaccompanied baggage should be completed well in advance of departure. TAXES: Transportation taxes are imposed by some governments; these are not included in the fares quoted and will be collected where they apply. MEALS: Complimentary meals are served aloft or on the ground at conventional mealtimes, except that flights indicated as Tourist Service will provide only light refreshments aloft and no complimentary food service on the ground. PASSENGER INFORMATION
(The general information shown below is subject to specific limitations and regulations contained in the official Passenger Tariff.
Children’s Fares: When accompanied by an adult children two years of age or over, but under twelve, will be charged half of the normal adult fare; children under two years of age will be carried free, with the following exceptions:
1) Children under two years of age will be charged 10% of the normal adult fare on the Pacific and Atlantic services of PAA, PAB, AVIANCA and CUBANA.
BAGGAGE;
Free Allowance—In most cases, including flights over connecting airlines, the free weight allowance is 30 kilos (66 lbs.); which applies to children paying half fare as well as to adults.
