PASSENGER INFORMATION (Subject to Official Passenger Tariff) The term “Companies” as used herein shall mean the Companies of Pan American Airway System & Associated Carriers as published in the Passenger Tariffs. SCHEDULES: Schedules of the Companies are not guaranteed, and are sub- ject to change without notice. ________ ARRIVAL OF PASSENGERS AT AIRPORTS OF EMBARKATION: Passengers must arrive at airports sufficiently in advance of the scheduled departures of aircraft to permit the completion of governmental or other formalities and the checking of baggage. Departures will not be delayed for passengers who arrive at airports too late to enable these formalities to be completed before scheduled departure time, and none of the Companies shall be under any liability to any such passenger except to refund the portion of the fare which is refundable in such cases in accordance with the provisions of tariff rules and regulations. FARES: Round-Trip & Circle Fares: When round-trip tickets are purchased in advance, 10% discount from twice one-way normal fares (20% off return portions of round trips) will lie granted unless round-trip fares are published otherwise. When tickets are purchased in advance for passage over a “circle route” 10% discount will be granted from the total of the normal one-way fares over such route. If routing includes both a circle and a round-trip (any portion of return route being different from outward route), 10% discount will be granted from the total of the normal one-way fares over the entire r°When other carriers also grant a discount from their normal one-way fares when participating in round-trip or circle routings with any of the Companies, the above discount will be granted for the portion of such routings over the lines of the Companies, provided the entire passage is purchased in advance. However, if any portion of the trip on any participating carrier is broken by using any means of transportation not participating in the reduced fare, the round-trip or circle-trip discount does not apply unless so specified in the tariff. , , „ „ „ , ,. ... Air lines in the United States of America allow the above 10% reduction on their portion of circle-trip routings sold for passage between points in the United States of America and points in countries served by the Companies when passage over such lines and those of the Companies is sold in advance at the same time. Ask any agent or office Return Trip Discount: Outward air passage having been completed at the normal adult one-way fare, passengers who desire to return by air to the point of origin stated on the Identification Coupon of the corresponding one-way ticket representing such completed passage, and who present the Identification Coupon of such ticket to one of the Companies, accompanied by a Return Discount Certificate, prior to the departure of the return trip, will be granted 10% discount from the normal adult one-way fare via the return route to be used effective from the outward destination on such coupon to the point of origin thereof where outward passage originated, provided the return passage completes a round trip or circle trip. .... Children’s Fares: A child under two years of age, carried in the arms of its parent or guardian, will be carried without charge so long as it docs not occupy a seat, the adult fare for the parent or guardian having been paid. A child two years of age or over, but under twelve years of age, may travel at one-half of the normal adult one-way, round-trip or circle-trip fare, and may occupy a seat. In cases of tickets purchased in Colombia for passage of children on the lines of “SCADTA” exclusively, the fare will be one-third of the normal adult fare for children under fifteen years of age and whose weight is less than 25 kilos, and two-thirds of the normal adult fare for children under fifteen years of age and whose weight is 25 kilos or more but less than 50 kilos. ... Air/Sea Fares: Ask any agent or office for information. STOPOVERS AND LIMITS: Stopover may be made at any scheduled stop unless published otherwise. Passage limit is one year after date of original departure except in case of limited excursion fares. Passengers are cautioned tha.t space for onward passage under stopover tickets may not be available a ml that it is to their interest to reserve space in advance for as much of the route as possible. t PASSPORTS &. VISES: If required by the law of the countries to be flown from into or over, passengers must possess valid passports and/or other certificates. Inasmuch as these requirements vary considerably, passengers are requested to consult the consulates of such countries before making reservations regarding such requirements. None of the Companies will be responsible for the consequences resulting from passengers entering countries without proper credentials. . TAXES: Any ticket taxes imposed by governmental authority are m addition to transportation fare and will be collected wherever effective. BAGGAGE: Free Weight Allowances: (a) When the normal adult one-way fare paid prior to commencement of passage is $200 U. S. Cy. or less, 20 Kilos (44 lbs.). (b) When the normal adult one-way fare paid prior to commencement of passage is $201 U. S. Cy. or more, 25 Kilos (55 lbs.). (c) When the normal adult one-way fare paid prior to commencement of passage is $401 U. S. Cy. or more, 30 Kilos (66 lbs.). (d) When the normal adult one-way fare paid prior to commencement of passage is $501 U. S. Cy. or more, 35 Kilos (77 lbs.). ... Baggage Allowance of Other Air Carriers: The regulations of the air carriers operating within the United States of America permit free baggage weight allowances in the same amounts as those stated above under (a) and (b), provided connecting passage over the lines of such air carriers is purchased at the same time as the passage over the lines of the Companies, but the fares on such air carriers do not affect the free weight allowance on the lines of the Companies. . Excess Weight Charges: Baggage weighing in excess of the above free allowances will be charged for at 1% of the normal adult one-way U. S. Cy. tariff fare per kilo (2 2 lbs.) except in the case of stopover tickets when the rate will be 1% of the normal adult one-way U. S. Cy. fare per kilo (2.2 lbs.) between stopover points. Children’s Baggage: Children travelling on half-fare tickets will receive one-half of the baggage weight allowance granted, on adult fare tickets, but their excess baggage weight will be charged for at the adult tariff fare. However, provided connecting passage over the lines of any air carrier in the United States of America is purchased at the same time as passage on the lines of the Companies, such children will receive the adult free baggage weight allowance on the lines of the Companies. Weight of baggage of children under 2 years of ago will be added to that of parent or guardian, without increasing their free weight allowance. Tickets purchased in Colombia for passage of children exclusively on SCADTA, free allowances of 7 or 14 kilos is permitted, according to fare paid, except weight of baggage of children under 2 years of age will be added to that of parent or guardian without increasing their free weight allowance. . , , HOTEL CHARGES &. RESERVATIONS: Hotel expenses are not included in passenger fares. When requested by passengers, representatives of the Companies will make application on their behalf for hotel reservations, but they do not guarantee the availability thereof. All expenses incurred by the Companies or their representatives in arranging, or attempting to arrange, for reservations will be chargeable to passengers.
