A MONTHLY ADVISORY OF ——--------——Murli ACTIVITIES FOR PASSENGER SERVICE STAFF VOL DATE: APRIL 1983 TEN DINING SERVICE . Our newspaper selections have been increased and upgraded as follows: - USA TODAY, a Monday-to-Friday daily publication, has been added to all flights departing U.S. stations. The international HERALD TRIBUNE provisioned on all European-destined flights ex-JFK. - The Asian international HERALD TRIBUNE will be provisioned ex-SFO to Hong Kong. - The international edition of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL will be featured on U.S.-destined flights from LON, FRA, PAR, ROM. USA TODAY will provide free papers to us for the first 30 days. The following new flights and services have commenced: - Flight 100, "Clipper President", will feature our top-of-the-line dinner menu in all classes of service; caviar, chocolate liqueur cups with Chambord liqueur, and wine tasting; amenity kits for F/CL, CC, and Cabin Class passengers. - Flights 76/77, JFK/ZRH/JFK, will feature "First Class" international service. - TP A,/ME X flights will have a cold snack featuring cold meats and ice cream sundaes in F/CL. - Feeder flight service expanded to Cincinnati; from JFK to CVG, a full, cold snack featuring cold meats on one cycle and open-faced sandwiches on the other. - Hot soup and cold sandwiches will be introduced in Cabin Class on selected short-segment lunch flights. Menus include Boston Clam Chowder, Corn Chowder, Cheese and Cream of Cauliflower soups with open-faced sandwiches, crackers, condiments and dessert. A hot morning snack to be introduced on the TPA/DCA flight» F/CL menu includes fresh fruit, rolls, butter, preserves, and a choice of hot, open-faced cheese/mushroom and ham sandwich with broiled tomato and fresh zucchini on one cycle; French toast, peach half and beef sausage links on the other. - Flights 124 and 812 from HNL to SFO/ LAX will have a new brunch service. F/CL will include cheese and fines herbes omelette, mixed grilled meats, Mahi Mahi Almondine Veronique, Chicken Yakitori, Prawns St. Tropez; Clipper Class will feature mushroom omelette, grilled meats, and cheese and fines herbes omelette, braised beef Teriyaki. MARKETING TRAINING . $21,900 was generated from Travel Agent training in March, short of our goal of $30,000. All Sales offices are urged to encourage travel agent narticipation in our various courses. . Training for Service Control Specialists has been enhanced. A 5-day course is now available for personnel new to this function. The course includes training in fueling, load planning, weight and balance, and reading dispatch releases. The course will also be a pre-requisite for attending the 10-day DCS Operations program if candidates do not possess the four mentioned skills. Training dates will be advised. . Course 902, "Exceptional Sales Performance", has been delayed until the fourth quarter. A new schedule of courses is forthcoming. AIRPORT SERVICE . Newly-designed ticket envelopes will be distributed in the near future -F/CL will have a white and gold color combination; Clipper will remain silver, and Cabin Class blue. Separate envelopes for employees will be discontinued. . Airport Service will conduct 10 Station Operations Awarness seminars for the RMD’s, Directors, and General Managers CzitinJ
