All domestic stations plus HNL,LON,FRA, have commenced usage as of 1 September. All stations to follow in October. of cold canapes from a large, decorated tray. Improved salads and desserts, and a choice of a Roast or two other entrees. A special new feature will be a ’confection that will be given to each passenger at the end of the meal. ’Godiva’ bon-bons, wrapped individually will be the first confection. .Expansion of the DCS Work Center concept at JFK continues with the following stations now on-line: IAD,EWR,LGA,TPA. Detroit and Chicago are scheduled to be covered by the JFK Center in the next six to eight weeks. .Standard system forms have been designed and stocked for denied boarding situations. They are: 'Search for Volunteers Notice to Passengers' (form 924-317770) and 'Denied Boarding Notice to Passengers' (form 924-317780). .We have a policy that all baggage-MUST have passenger identification on it for acceptance as checked baggage. We also have a program to track our performance. We are serious about it and so is the industry! The ATC office of enforcement is taking random surveys and levying fines for non-compliance. There were 56 penalties issued in the past two months, at $500. each. .In light of significantly reduced level of claims activity in the Baggage Services department, we are now estimating total 1982 expenses to be about $5 million vs. the $7.45 million originally projected. DINING SERVICE .Also on 1 October improved, standardized Continental breakfasts in all classes of service. F/C: a choice of sweet and breakfast rolls, yoghurts, cereals, fruits, croissant sandwiches, jams and jellies. CC: sweet and breakfast rolls, croissant sandwich, OJ, butter and jam. Cabin: increased to OJ, muffin and sweet roll, butter and -iam. IN-FLIGHT SERVICE .A project to reduce provisioning problems at JFK,MIA,LAX has been completed and recommendations made. Three F/S supervisors working with Dining Service, have taken the appropriate actions to reduce problems encountered in-flight. .Implemented in-flight purser announcements promoting NYC helicopter service and the WorldPass program. .In conjunction with Airport Service a procedure has been established that will allow the seating of accompanied children at the emergency exit rows on the 727 aircraft. .The 4% minute historical module from Chairman Acker's presentation to employees will precede the in-flight movie for Sept. .Complimentary beer and wine is now offered on MIA/SCL/MIA and LAX/MEX/LAX flights. .Due to passenger demand, Jack Daniels whiskey miniatures have been increased in the Cabin class liquor kits. .On the DC10 and 727 aircraft, the F/C specifications have been changed for the intermediate lunch and dinner menus. Entrees will now be pre-plated on china ravier dishes. .New, improved F/C menus will be implemented from IAD,JFK,MIA to all international destinations, except DHA and NRT, effective 1 October. In lieu of almonds, passengers will now be offered a selection ."Business International", a weekly publication, will be distributed to all F/C and CC passengers onboard flights from JFK to RI0,TY0,PEK, on a test basis. .Effective with the September schedule, movies have been reinstated on the MIA/ MEX/MIA flights as a result of DC10 aircraft now being on that sector. MARKETING TRAINING .A "Train-the-Trainer" was conducted for the Pacific Division's Reservations Sales personnel in SUPERCALL. .The 1983 Pan Am Marketing Training class schedule has been completed, as well as the Travel and Commercial Revenue Training schedule.
