Earl W. Sutherland, Jr., M.D. (1915-1974) was a pioneering American pharmacologist and physiologist who isolated cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cyclic AMP) in 1956. The site features 59 research notebooks which keep track of the details of his Nobel prize winning research between 1946 and 1971, biographical and bibliographical information, and Dr. Sutherland's Nobel prize lecture.
